WE, the Latino Democrats of Prince George's County (LDPGC), are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month 2023 with a United States Senate Candidate Forum focused on showcasing the growth and contributions of Prince George's County and the region's Latinos. The LDPGC recognizes the significance of highlighting our community's diverse needs and concerns. Engaging in constructive dialogues that delve deeper into the pressing issues facing our diverse population is essential with the upcoming election. OUR GOAL is to provide a platform where the candidates can present their positions on matters that profoundly impact Latinos in Prince George's County, approximately 20.9% of the county's population, and all residents. OUR MISSION for this event is to allow attendees to actively participate in the democratic process, where we can collectively shape policies that address our diverse population's concerns and ensure that all voices are heard.

Master of Ceremonies

Alberto Pimienta is a reporter for Noticiero Telemundo 44, a division of NBCUniversal, which airs on WZDC, the local station serving the Spanish-speaking community in the Washington, D.C. Area. Before, Mr. Pimienta was with Spectrum News covering Congress and the White House. He is an Emmy Award Winning Anchor and Reporter.

Wiliam Ford has worked as a newspaper reporter for more than 20 years. He currently works for Maryland Matters covering state government and politics. Prior Mr. Ford has covered Prince George’s County and other local news in the District of Columbia area for The Washington Informer. He is a member of the Black Press.

Moderator

Patricia Villone has more than three decades of experience at Prince George’s County Cable Television News, as the Senior Reporter and News Anchor. While she covers many issues, her specialty is environmental, cross-cultural and legislative issues. In addition, she used to produce a Spanish-language television program about Latino issues.
